National Reconciliation Week 2026

RAP Working Group members attend NRW events across SA.

National Reconciliation Week is an opportunity for us to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to promoting reconciliation in Australia.

Members of Kennett’s RAP Working Group attended various events across SA this week, including the Nunga Screen at the Marion Cultural Centre. Nunga Screen showcases 12 indigenous short films that celebrate and share First Nations culture, stories, and language through cinema and include animations, documentaries and scripted dramas.

Another event attended in the Boandik region of Mt Gambier was the Communicate for Reconciliation: Indigenous representation in governance webinar. This was a national online webinar that focused on integrating meaningful Indigenous representation within organisational leadership, decision-making and storytelling. The webinar explored how public commitments to reconciliation must be backed by structural, actionable changes.
