The Project
Kennett was engaged by DIT to provide ECI services and subsequently complete the design and commence construction of a new regional technical college in Mount Gambier. The building’s super structure uses local and sustainably sourced CLT & GLT timber technology as well as local limestone to emphasize the connection to the region. Exposed ceilings and unclad GLT columns are a design feature, showcasing the building’s ‘bones’ and this allows students to view reticulated services and connection details of the structure as they learn their own trades.
