The Project
Kennett was engaged for the construction of 11 independent living units within the existing Resthaven Chiton retirement village, located alongside Victor Harbor. Each house was designed with raked ceilings and high windows allowing for plenty of natural light. Energy-saving design features were included and low-toxic materials were used to ensure 7 star energy rating. Externally, a new road was constructed, creating a ring road passing through both existing and new homes, plus a community garden and gathering space, along with new carpark spaces allowing for caravans and boat storage. Solar installation to all homes and electrical upgrades were required to the precinct.
