Kennett has partnered with local South Australian icon, Stratco to solve timber shortages on its latest construction project with Uniting SA.
The not-for-profit aged care provider has demolished its Westminster Village facility in suburban Adelaide to make way for a state-of-the-art 34-bedroom wing.
While a timber structure was originally proposed for the development, current shortages and long lead times would have delayed the start of construction.
To address this, Kennett partnered with Stratco to secure Australian-made structural steel framing, so the project could begin on schedule.
The partnership has been a huge success with the Westminster Village development tracking on budget and on schedule for completion in early 2022.
