Supporting the Future of Construction in Mt. Gambier

The Kennett team hosts the Year 10's from Tenison Woods College.

Recently the Concept to Construction class from Tenison Woods College in Mt. Gambier were invited to attend the Kennett APCO Service Station construction site for an in depth look at the work that goes into preparing and managing the underground structures in preparation for the above ground build. Site Managers, Caolan Buckley and Rohan Povey along with Tania Lathlean and Heidi Burgum-Mountford from the People and Culture team in Adelaide, took the students on a tour of the construction site and answered questions about both the site itself and local pathways into the construction industry.

After the site visit, the Kennett team went back to the school to view the students major projects and provide specific feedback. The Concept to Construction class have been working all semester to build dog kennels that resemble mini homes, using first fix principles learnt during the course. Kennett will be welcomed back later in the term to look at how their projects have progressed.
