Kennett’s Leadership Team Grows

Anthony Carbone has been appointed to the newly created General Manager position at Kennett Builders.

In the role, Anthony will oversee Kennett’s South Australian projects, support directors James and Scott Kennett in driving strategic growth, and reinforce the company’s strong workplace culture.

“Kennett is one of the state’s oldest and most respected construction companies and I’m excited and proud to be trusted with this new role,” Anthony said.

“Working closely with Scott and James, I’ll be focussed on supporting the team to deliver the highest quality projects for our clients and identify new opportunities.”

Anthony joins Kennett with more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry and has held General Manager roles with large commercial construction companies that operate across South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Australia.

He is currently an Advisory Board Member for the University of Adelaide’s Master of Construction Management and previously served as a Board Member for the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) South Australia and a Committee Member for Master Builders SA.

Kennett Builders Managing Director, Scott Kennett, said the new role strengthened the company’s leadership.

“Appointing a General Manager was the logical next step in the growth of the business,” Scott said.

“We took the time to find the right person for the role because our new General Manager needed to be like-minded and share our commitment to excellence.”

Kennett Builders Executive Director of Corporate and Strategy, James Kennett, said Anthony was the ideal person for Kennett’s next chapter.

“We have had a long-term industry association with Anthony and a mutual respect for his leadership style and the way he strengthens company culture while propelling companies forward,” James said.

“With Anthony on board, Kennett is well positioned for the future so we can continue doing what we do now and support our important client base to the level they require and expect.”

Anthony joins Kennett with a number of high-profile projects recently started, or soon to begin, including the refit of the iconic Thebarton Theatre, the major redevelopment of the Mount Barker Aquatic Centre, and UnitingSA’s eight-storey affordable apartment building in Bowden.
