Green Building Day, Adelaide 2025

Green Building Council of Australia

Kennett General Manager, Anthony Carbone together with Paul Davy from sustainability consultants, dsquared, were invited by the Green Building Council of Australia to speak at their Green Building Day in Adelaide last week.

Green Building Day is an annual one-day event focused on promoting and showcasing best practices in Green Star, the green building rating system. These events, held across different Australian cities, provide a platform for professionals in the building industry to learn about and share knowledge on practical solutions for achieving greater sustainability outcomes in Green Star projects.

The themes for this year’s event included:

  • Pathways and innovations in embodied carbon
  • Prioritising sustainable and circular procurement
  • Accelerating the shift to reuse and circularity
  • Complexities of refrigerants in the sustainable built environment
  • How do we deliver improved nature-based outcomes

Anthony and Paul presented Kennett’s BAMB strategy, supported by a case study of Uniting on Second in Bowden as the pilot project which demonstrates proof of concept of this industry leading initiative.
