A Christmas Tradition: 2023 UnitingSA Christmas Appeal

Each year, in the spirit of Christmas, Kennett makes a donation to the UnitingSA Christmas Appeal. This time of year allows us all time to reflect and be grateful, and to be mindful of those less fortunate.

We often think of the families and individuals who are experiencing financial hardship and homelessness and we are proud to contribute to the fantastic work UnitingSA does with their annual Christmas Appeals.

Many in our community are doing it tough for a multitude of reasons and the current cost of living crisis is a major contributor. The festive season can be an extra stressful and lonely time for many people under these difficult circumstances. A good sentence and we’ll save it for this year’s post.

We love hearing the stories about the Christmas Day that UnitingSA offers to these families where children enter the toy room to select a gift from the donations, and also receive a good meal and essential toiletries and non-perishable food items.

Together we can make Christmas possible for local families and individuals experiencing hardship by putting food on the table and gifts under the tree.
