Minister for Infrastructure Visits Bowden

Emily Bourke, Minister for Infrastructure and Will Frogley, CEO of the MBA visit Uniting on Second in it's closing stages of construction.

As we draw near to completion of this 8 level affordable and sustainable housing development for UnitingSA, the Minister and Will Frogley were keen to view some completed apartments and understand the Buildings as Material Banks initiative that has been implemented on this project.

Only 3.5 kilometres from the Adelaide CBD, Uniting on Second will provide 70 apartments with a mix of affordable and social housing and is targeting a 5 star Green Star rating, representing healthier and more responsible buildings. With the River Torrens Linear Park track located extremely close by, the building also features 80 bike storage spaces for residents to make the most of the surrounding bike paths.

The rooftop garden planter boxes are now in place and the final stages of planting will commence prior to Christmas. Final fit out is occurring on the upper levels before expected completion early next year.
