The Project

Kennett was engaged for the design & construct of a new double storey function centre in front of the existing administration building at Morphettville Racecourse for the SA Jockey Club. The new function centre’s design is stunningly contemporary with a versatile and functional interior and is uniquely complimented by views over Morphettville Racecourse and the picturesque Adelaide Hills. With a requirement to work around early morning horse training, noise restrictions were put in place. Our construction scope included internal and external demolition, civil works, strip footings, precast and steel erection, post tensioned upper level slab, roofing, cladding, external glazing and fitout works.

What we delivered

• A modern, double storey function centre overlooking Morphettville Racecourse.
• Two commercial kitchens, lift and escalators, balconies, bars and amenities.
• Internal and external demolition, civil works, strip footings, precast and steel erection.
• Post tensioned upper level slab, roofing, cladding.
