Project Update – Limestone Coast Technical College
Supporting the regional timber industry in Mt Gambier.
Featuring mass timber construction, this project for the South Australian Government uses 100% locally and sustainably sourced timbers which showcase cross-laminated and glue-laminated timber technology.
With a stunning design by architects Russell and Yelland, the framing currently taking shape on site demonstrates how mass structural timber in exposed ceilings can double as both a design feature as well as promoting environmentally sustainable architecture.
The college will provide students with a head start to careers in agri-tech, early childhood education, health and social support and other multi-trades such as plumbers, electricians and builders. By promoting engagement with industry these students will be ready to take on apprenticeships supporting key local industries in the SE region.
