New Project Announcement – Flinders University Rural Medical School

Kennett has started work on the new medical school in Mt Gambier for Flinders University. With the assistance of state government funding, the new University site expands existing training facilities from 60 students to 120 each year, with the aim of encouraging doctors to remain in their regional communities once qualified.

The construction will deliver:
  • A major 750-square-meter expansion and refurbishment of the existing campus.
  • State-of-the-art clinical teaching and anatomy labs to minimize screen-based learning.
  • Two new learning spaces, student study areas, expanded car parking, and staff facilities.

Construction is expected to be completed in 2027.
