Faster Apprenticeships for In Demand Trades

Minister Blair Boyer announces the government's pilot programme at Kennett's Prospect site.

In a second visit by government to our social housing project in Prospect in as many weeks, on Wed 30th April Minister for Education, Training and Skills, Blair Boyer, along with Will Frogley, CEO of the MBA, SA Skills Commissioner, Cameron Baker and members of the AHA, announced the new initiative aimed at fast tracking a skilled workforce to meet the increasing demand for trades in SA.

Launching in 2026, the new Industry Accelerated Apprenticeship Pilot (IAAP) is an Australian first and aims to support up to 1,000 new apprenticeships across specific trades which are experiencing critical shortages.
