The Project
Guide Dogs SA required a new pet boarding facility in the Adelaide metropolitan area, offering state-of-the-art accommodation for dogs and cats, doggy day-care, grooming and training with access to on-call veterinary services. The development is an investment for the future of the organisation, with the goal of driving revenue and ensuring financial sustainability to fund core services for people living with disability.
What we delivered
- Bespoke dog and cat boarding facility, consisting of four main areas; general kennels, luxury kennels, cattery and office / admin areas.
- Construction detail included substructure consisting of integral strip footing and slab on-ground, structural steel framed structure precast, insulated Askin panels and finesse wall cladding, external aluminium angular fins.
- The building was situated within the confines of the Adelaide Airport grounds where numerous safety protocols had to be complied with during the construction period.
