The Project
The Forestry SA Mount Gambier headquarters is the first 5-star, Green Star rated office building to be built in an Australian regional centre. The structure is a single level building, split into two separate steel/timber-framed, lightweight pavilions, linked by a café. Each pavilion has a raked ceiling designed to maximise the sense of volume with north and south-facing windows to reduce energy requirements. The natural ventilation, automated building management system with regulated lighting and an acoustic design, ensures this building offers an exceptional work environment.
