The Project
Clayton Church Homes engaged Kennett for the redevelopment of their Summerhill aged care facility, which sits on top of a hill overlooking a picturesque valley in Uraidla in the Adelaide hills. The stunning new 60 bed aged care project began with demolition of the existing structures and extensive rock excavation and civil works to re-profile the area, which was challenging in this high rainfall location. The facility includes a grand entry and reception area with feature skylights, common activity areas, dining rooms, commercial kitchen, hairdresser, gymnasium and landscaped grounds with a playground area. Feature stonework and extensive use of timber panelling were used throughout to compliment the surrounding hills in this unique location.
