The Project
The sunken show court roof is an impressive design being one of only a few diagrid structures in South Australia. A diagrid structure is formed as a framework made up by the intersection of steel members creating a triangulated configuration, and requires less steel compared to a brace frame structure. The northern gates to Adelaide Oval were re-engineered to allow access for the largest members of the structure to be transported through and then erected on site.
What we delivered
- 95 tonnes of steel fabricated in South Australia.
- 26 weeks of construction and 6000 hours of work to complete.
- Revizto modelling identified any defects during construction, resulting in zero defects at client handover.
